•Chertsey, UK, 8th October 2007.  CM&D Pharma Limited, the European niche specialty company, today announced the appointment of Dr Maria Cristina Comelli as R&D Project Leader.  Dr Comelli joins CM&D from Madaus group, where she was R&D Manager, Pharmaceuticals.  In this position, she coordinated regulatory, pharmacovigilance and out-licencing activities. 

Cristina has been involved in the formulation and clinical development of Medical Devices, expanding on her previous experience in dermatological R&D at Epitech group. 

Dr Comelli received her Doctoral Degree from the University of Padova and specialised in molecular biology at Fidia Neuroscience Laboratories and at the Karolinska Institut.

'Dr Comelli brings hands-on pan-European Marketing Authorisation filing experience, including a recent approval in the US. CM&D is close to acquiring its first products, and Cristina will spearhead our R&D activities to ensure the rapid commercialisation of them.'
