CM&D Pharma Limited (CM&D), the European niche specialty company, today announced the incorporation of CM&D Pharma Srl (CM&D Italy), a fully owned subsidiary focused on the development of the CM&D product portfolio. CM&D Italy, based in the historic university city of Padova, has already made substantial progress in the development of SilSOS™, its nasal decongestant scheduled to be CM&D’s lead product launch later in 2008. Fostrap™, the treatment for hyperphosphataemia, will also have its 18-month development programme driven by CM&D Italy.
