31 March 2008: Prof. Antonio Tiengo Appointed to CM&D Pharma Scientific Board
Chertsey, 31st March, 2008. CM&D Pharma Limited, the European niche specialty company, today announced the appointment of Professor Antonio Tiengo to its Scientific Board.
Prof. Tiengo is an expert in metabolic diseases, and in particular diabetes, and is a member of the American Diabetes Association, as well as the European Society for the Study of Diabetes. He has served as a reviewer for several leading international journals focusing on diabetes and metabolic disease.
Having qualified as a doctor at the University of Padova, Prof. Tiengo completed his post-doctoral fellowship in Diabetology at the University of Paris, before returning to Italy to teach. He served as President of the Italian Society of Diabetology, and progressed to be Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Padova.
