CM&D Pharma Limited, the European specialty company, today announced the acquisition of Biohealth Italia srl, an Italian pharmaceutical company with a track record in the marketing of treatments for kidney stones and other kidney conditions. The deal provides CM&D with an established infrastructure to help market its new Fostrap™ chewing gum, designed to reduce cardiovascular complications of kidney dialysis1. Funding was provided by Inventages Venture Capital SA, Geneva, Switzerland, and Medfoods Investment Limited, Surrey, UK.  The funding will also support the development of the CM&D product portfolio. “We are delighted to welcome Dr Massimo Defilippi, who will remain the CEO of Biohealth, onto the CM&D Executive Committee, as his breadth of experience will be invaluable to the future development of our rapidly-growing company.
