19 June 2009: Fostrap Partner for Japan Announced Chertsey, UK, 19th June 2009.  CM&D Pharma Limited, the European specialty company, is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Healthserve Limited to develop and market Fostrap, its treatment for hyperphosphataemia, for the Japanese market.  Healthserve has also received the rights to market Fostrap in certain other Asian territories. Healthserve will soon start a clinical program meant to complete a suitable dossier for early filing as a Medical Food, known as FOSU in Japan. As a result of this agreement, CM&D will receive an immediate cash payment, followed by milestones triggered at various points of Fostrap’s regulatory progress in Japan. Further financial details were not disclosed.
